The Educational Years for Dance, Circus and Physical Theatre at Seneca Intensiv collaborated for their end-of year presentation.

“Please don't touch” Is an interdisciplinary show that combines dance, contemporary circus and physical theatre. Inspired by art, culture and political situation of the 20s a century ago – a time of departure, political tensions and new art – feels “Please don't touch!” traces the connections between yesterday and today. The performers tell with bodies, with space and few words. A powerful, multi-layered collage of movement, history and the present. Timid, but not quiet. Very poetic, somewhat political, absolutely physical!

For this project, the client provided the concept for the motif. I approached the task in two steps: first, a photo session to bring the idea to life, and second, designing the poster layout.

● Design

The hands featured in the image reference the title “Bitte Nicht Berühren” (Please don’t Touch). The typography of the key visual subtly nods to 1920s type styles through its geometric forms.
