● Strategy
Currently, the music being released by latinamerican artists relies heavily on digital platforms. This makes it fleeting and hard to archive. Raspa Recs seeks to increase the amount of releases of Latin-American artists in the vinyl format, therefore contributing to a physical archive of the music scene.
● Design
The visual language for its social media presence overlaps popular internet culture from Latin-American countries and the action of “raspar” (to scratch in spanish). The name “Raspa” comes from the colloquial expression “raspar chancla” which means dancing. Also, it connects back to the action of “scratching vinyl”, which we want to make possible with this project.
